Why doesn't the image refresh when zooming?
 

Anyone else notice this? All the other phones I used in the past will refresh the image when zooming in but N900 doesn't. Whenever I double tap on a webpage the font gets refreshed so it looks nice and sharp but the image doesn't refresh so it look very pixelated.

Another question, does anyone know how to stop the refreshing when using the history to go back to previous pages? very annoying

khrm.... fonts are vector graphics, pictures are just pictures that act very badly when those are overscaled.

could you give an example of a page where this occurs?

ok for example http://wordpress.com
if you doubletap a picture on the first page, it will zoom to the width of that column, which in reality is 240px wide or so. if you zoom a 240px wide picture to 800px, it will be pixelated.
