Tapping problem
 

Hi guys

I have strange problem with tapping. From time to time my screen doesn't do anything when I tap on widgets or shortcuts. It even doesn't hilight icons. I have to reboot my phone and after that all' sfine again.

What's wrong?

I've had this issue as well. Could you provide a list of what desktop widgets and shortcuts you are using?

Could be high CPU or RAM usage. Or else you must of tapped it too light.

so the contact desktop is ok and next 3:
1. FB widget, ForecaWeather widged, Player, Shake2Control wdg, sleeper wdg
2. 6xDesktop Command Execution wgd, Name Day wdg, system callendar, tel shortcut, contacts shr, messages shr, mail shr and fMms shr
3. Personal Photo Frame wdg, Personal Dataplan Monitor wdg, FM transmitter wgd, TouchSearch wgd, FM radio shr, MediaBox shr, X Terminal shr, Appl Manager shr, gTranslate shr, Microb shr, Mahjong shr, Solitare shr, OVI store shr, Files shr, Alarmed shr and Shutter wdg

I don't think so. I have CPU monitor in task bar and it is the same when there is low usage. Tapping too light is not as well :)

I also had this issue, uninstalling desktop cmd exec widget fixed it

Did you do it only because of one occurrence of the problem? Or after repeated incidents?

I noticed the issue multiple times. I could access the main application menu but none of the desktop widgets or shortcuts would respond

So you're sure that DCEW is the problem?

If so, do you know how/why?

Once we get to the general cause of it, we could file a bug at bugs.maemo.org.

Sometimes I experience the same, and all tappings are registered one or more minute later, launching something like ten apps in a few moments...
