click to start recording
click again to stop recording.

recordings are stored in the N900/ directory.

In your apps listing, there is one "File Manager" app. You click on that app and it opens the N900 main folder for you. Once you click that, I am sure you will be able to navigate yourself through the rest to find your required files pretty easily.

Btw, if you use the "Catorize" app, the File Manager app would be under "settings" classification.
