some apps that I would love to see...
Hi,
I'm quite new to all this N900 nonsense.......been viewing these forums frequently since i got the phone last month....and there are a few apps / stuff i would love to see... 1. Voice over FM transmitter - I love the FM transmitter on this phone, its the only one ive ever used where i hear very little static in the background and it would be amazing if i could use the transmitter to send calls over the FM signal.....The microphone is good enough to pick up my voice as i currently use the speaker and its ok.....but if the callers voice came over the stereo i would love it..... 2. Silverlight / Moonlight - I would love it silverlight or moonlight (linux equivalent) were available - i use skyplayer all the time on the laptop and if i could use it on the n900 it would be great. 3 Google / Skype Video Calls - i've succeded with googlechat over wifi when the other party instigated the call......but the quality was poor - im pretty sure the n900 could do this......if the right person did the right work. 4. contact groups - More configurable contacts would be amazing - its ok at the moment but having all the facebook contacts in there is a bit annoying. thats about it for now!.....as i said im quite new to all this so if there is any current campaign to get these apps made point me in the right direction and i'll add my voice to it! cheers folks sine220 |

I was actually thinking about 1 the other day, except with using the AUX output. My car stereo as an AUX input, so naturally I choose that rather than the FM transmitter, and it would be brilliant if calls used both of these as their outputs when in use. It would make a decent "hands free kit" - using the term loosely as you would still need a hand to press the answer call button.
While driving, the loudspeaker isn't loud enough, especially when driving an older car at 70mph.. the engine is pretty loud! |
