auto screen off not working
 

I have this strange problem with my n900. when i do not use the device, the screen use to turn off automatically. but now it stays lit.

i have disabled the auto lock feature so the phone does not lock automatically.

I use the flipclock in the night with charger plugged in. I have set the screen to stay on when charging. does that has this effect.

is there any setting or flag I can change to make it the same way.

can anyone help?

did it happen with charge plugin unplug? I had the exact same problem. i changed some settings rebooted a couple of times, set the phone back to factory defaults and removed the battery. it worked for me! i dont know in wich order. Its some kind of crash.

The brightness app has some kind of option to keep the display on. but this doensnt react either when you have this crash.

Its indeed very anoying!

I'm having the exact same problem, i've tried everything, i even uninstalled the simple brightness application, and rebooted, still nothing, it was working fine till yesterday, very annoying! :[

Restoring back to factory settings and rebooting did the trick, thanks.
