How to demote a package?
Hi all,
I just promoted Mapper 3.0+beta1 to testing, but one user pointed out one major usability bug. I want to remove the application from the testing queue, not to waste other testers' time. According to http://wiki.maemo.org/Extras-testing...ments#Demotion I should be able to do it, but I have no idea how. Anyone can help me? Ciao, Alberto Edit: I uploaded beta2, which I wouldn't like to demote. :-) Still it would be nice to know how to do it, in case I need it again. |
Re: How to demote a package?
can you try giving it thumbs down yourself, IIRC it gets demoted then.

Re: How to demote a package?
It seems I cannot give more than one thumb down.

Re: How to demote a package?
This a first... But at your request I will give it a thumbs down if it helps.
Please verify this with a follow-up post as I will put your request in my comments for the thumbs down. :) |
Re: How to demote a package?
@YoDude: thanks, that would be very nice! :-)

Re: How to demote a package?
oh sorry I just meant 1 thumbs down now multiple(didnt know you had already tried it).
I just noticed it says the same thing here also. "Maintainers thumb down will demote the application from the testing queue. " Im unable to explain why it didnt work for you. |
Re: How to demote a package?
Just a thought, it might be worth editing your OP to specify that it was beta1 you were trying to demote and that the beta2 that's there now is fixed, to make sure you don't get any accidental thumbs downs on beta2 from people seeing this thread.
