Is it true that Nokia informed only part of the Maemo Community Council about MeeGo?

From a post by Texrat, reposting EIPI's questions to the candidates:

understandable. However, the situation may arise where a subset of the
Council may be made privy to some knowledge, as happened recently with
the MeeGo announcement. Do you agree with Nokia's decision, or do you
think the entire Council should have been given the same information
at the same time, and under the same restrictions?

Is this true? And if so why?

lemmyslender, this came up in the Ask the Council thread and is the best place to continue discussion.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, I don't know how I missed that whole conversation in that thread, I had been semi-following it.

No need for me to continue a month old topic (although it lessens my faith on how Nokia will handle the community aspect of MeeGo) just more FUD :( And we don't need anymore of that.

For any interest parties I believe the discussion starts here
