Help reflashing in OS X
So I'm having some problems with my N900 and am trying to reflash. I'm following the instructions in the wiki. But when I type this in to terminal:
Code:
sudo /usr/bin/flasher-3.5 -F RX-51_2009SE_3.2010.02-8.002_PR_COMBINED_002_ARM.bin -f -R Code:
sudo: unable to execute /usr/bin/flasher-3.5: Bad CPU type in executable |
Re: Help reflashing in OS X
Are you on a PPC machine? I don't think the flasher is PPC native (or universal for that matter).

Re: Help reflashing in OS X
I'm on an intel machine running Snow Leopard and I downloaded the i386 package.

Re: Help reflashing in OS X
Sorry it took me so long to get back to this thread guys, I was in the hospital for a couple weeks.
Anyway, I ran this code: Code:
file /usr/bin/flasher-3.5 Code:
/usr/bin/flasher-3.5: Mach-O 64-bit executable x86_64 |

Re: Help reflashing in OS X
The PPC version of Flasher-3.5 works fine on my black MacBook. It was a simple answer, and yet I could not find it anywhere.
Also, make sure that if you are flashing eMMC too, you omit the -R when you are *first* flashing the FIASCO .bin file. 770Flasher *will not work* if you are trying to flash the eMMC because it automatically reboots your N900 after flashing the FIASCO .bin, so you can't get to that necessary second step for eMMC. Perhaps that could be addressed in a new version. I hope this helps. Quote:
