how to add your own speed cams to sygic
quick little thread to show you how to add your own speed cams to sygic
it works a treat as ive just added , fixed gatso , redlight cams , mobile cams and avearge speed cams you can also set your distance and warning you require you will need this software http://www.sygic.com/index.php/en/do...convertor.html and you will need to follow this guide http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/uksafe...s-mcguider.php you may be able to add your own poi via this method but it could be time consuming as the sygic poi convertor only does one at a time but it is possible hope this helps some sygic users byt he way sygic databse is quite limited it only seems to use fixed gats posistions and some of my local ones are missing for free poi please look here http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=POIs you will need to use the poi convertor to add poi |
Re: how to add your own speed cams to sygic
I downloaded speed camera POI files from http://www.poiplaza.com/?p=co but I can't get them to work :(
I have the .UPI files in my map folder and the POI categories appear in Sygic but I can not find any cameras/POIs ? Have anyone used POI files from POIplaza successfully in Sygic ? |

The .UPI (POI) files as downloaded from POIplazza do not fully work on Sygic (Mobile Maps 9) :( but if you use the Sygic POI converter and convert the .UPI files to a text files and then convert the text files back to .UPI files (the converter will prompt for a image file for each) it will create a .UPI files which work :) I now have specific camera types alerting with specific warning messages :) |
Re: how to add your own speed cams to sygic
I got a question about speedcams:
Within Sygic you can manually set the distance for a warning when approaching a speed- or redlightcam. but when I set it to 100 meters, the warning comes too late, when I set it to 200 meters, the warning comes too early. Is there a way to get this to 150 meters? |
