I put in all of the settings and ran everything exactly the way it told me to, and when I click on an MMS message sent to me, it attempts to download, but nothing ever happens, the notification just goes away. How exactly are you supposed to enter your number?

Re: fMMS Configuration

You have to be connected to The T-Mobile internet connection. Like you would be when your browsing the web on the N900. When the connection is established, load fmms, then attempt to download the mms message.

when you hit new message
you can just press the "TO" button and it will open up your contacts
that way you wont need to enter their numbers.

Hmmm...
I did what you told me, but it still doesn't download. I sent an MMS to my girlfriend and she got it perfectly fine, but I still can't download any messages. All I have to do is run T-Mobile's network and download the message? And keep the APN in the fmms configuration that I used to send the mms in the first place?

I meant like one's own number. Got it now, though. Thanks!
My question now is about downloading MMS messages sent to me. I received an MMS 12 days ago but did not attempt to open it. I had my gf send an MMS today and I downloaded those perfectly. But I can't download the 12 day old MMS.

I don't want to hijack, but this is a similar question, so I figure keep it in the same place.

I followed both wiki pages for fMMS and fAPN. I'm on ATT though, not T-Mobile, and US.

I setup the settings exactly as they should be in each:
Quote:

New APN: AT&T-MMS
Access Point Name: wap.cingular
User name: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR1
Proxy:
HTTP Proxy:
69.209.11.32
Port #: 80
Automatic Configuration: Checked
Web Address: http://mmsc.cingular.com
(I tried it both with that Auto config enabled and disabled)
I tried to receive and MMS and it takes a while "fMMS: Trying to download MMS..." and then I get "fMMS: Failed to download message".

I tried to send an MMS, and it just sits at resizing for a while, then the hildon banner goes away and it just sits there as if I hadn't done anything.

I'm not really sure what I could be doing wrong and I need some help.

I always connected (and made sure it was active) to the AT&T-MMS APN before opening fMMS.

Help?
