Please can anybody help me? Trouble installing applications
 

hi everyone i brought my n900 From a month ago & i update it to the virgin 3 2010.02-8.003 and my problem is that i can't download third party applications and games it giving me (unable to install this application - inatallation file corrupted) but i can download everything normally from the ovi store & my 2nd problem is that my phone is connecting to the wi fi but i can't use the internet i donni why

What applications?

What method are you using to install them?

Where are you downloading them from?

How are you downloading them if you cannot use the internet?

It sounds like you need to reinstall the phone's firmware again to clear all of that but I would imagine a complete flash using the flashing tool Nokia provide (which does it via a PC and cable) would be needed here.

thx for replaying back 1st im downloading them from the application manager in my phone i get into the programs oe games or anything inside this file and i download it and after few minutes it is corrupted it say installation file corrupted while when i download frrom the ovi store it goes normally and it never corrupted so i think it is not a firmware problem or something like that. i hope i make the things clear for you now.

applications like amsn & voice recorder and most of the downloadable application and games that im downloading from maemo.org the problem is that i can download normally from the store.ovi.com but from outside the ovi i can download nothing because it corrupt suddenly and fail to download

why dont u give a try to reflashing, n then if the problem persists then do mention it here.;)

there are many people that reflashed there n900 and still have this stupid problem please help me solving this annouying problen
