N900 now available in Singapore
 
For those hoping that the N900 will reach Asia, please know that it is now available in the Nokia stores here in Singapore at S$999 (incl. a bluetooth headset). :)

Around USD$711 !!!! With that price I can get two from the US.. I got mine for 396 USD brand new!

Yes. That's pretty expensive. I got mine from the US a month or so ago for much less... I have not yet seen it advertised by any of the local telcos. As they subsidize the phones quite heavily when signing a 2 year contract, the vast majority of people here get their phones that way. I bought an iPhone 3GS on contract and sold it within 30 minutes. That financed my N900...

got the phone 3months back im working here in singapore, buying overseas is a cheaper choice.. lol

fellow singaporean here too, bought an export n900 set 2 months ago from USA. the only difference between an export set and a local set would be the 1 year nokia warranty, which may be of interest to some considering the high incidences of spoilt usb ports

Don't despair on the warranty issue. If you ever need to, do approach Nokia in Singapore as there is a chance that they will entertain your service issue anyway. Please don't quote me on this as I don't have an 'official' statement in black and white on this.
