Is there a website dedicated to providing N900 users with a variety of Boot videos to download?

Hi.......guys of the MC, I just got the boot screen app....after a treacherous hunt for the extra-devel repositories.....(but it keeps on saying "Application list is partially refreshed some catalogs unavailable. Check catalog details", When I click on it shows me the failed catalog is Maemo Extras-devel, despite this I still get the extra level apps, but I don't think all of them as the message above indicates. It has left me a lil confused, the app manager is running smoothely though.) Concerning the boot screen app, I was wondering if there was a website dedicated to providing a variety of boot videos us N900 for download? Or even better yet I'd like to find out where you guys get your boot videos from? I know you can download prgrams like youtube downloader and what not but I've tried youtube downloader on my laptop and it always ends up crashing and glitching my laptop sometimes, either way I don't trust it. I apologize ahead of time if all of this has already been discussed and solved in previous threads, I just got my N900 this month and am still just taking baby steps with it before I go full throttle with it.

Odds are you will see a typo in the catalog, for example freemantle (incorrect double ee) or Fremantle (I think the capital F is wrong).

I don't know about a source of boot videos.

For the "Application list is partially refreshed some catalogs unavailable. Check catalog details." message, freeing up rootfs space might help a lot.
See this wiki page for useful tips. (The "alternate script" helped me the most. Run that, and the optify python steps, and perhaps optify the welcome applet, too. Then you won't have rootfs issues again.)

As for boot videos, just search this forum. There are plenty of them.

That's the beauty of it, you can take aaaannnyyy video you want, most won't require too much of a convertion and use it as a boot screen. I don't know anything about the application, I just use WinSCP from my PC to change boot videos. I managed to get a 1080p copy of The Matrix, and cut out the part where Morpheus picks up Neo and says "Welcome... To The Real World..." and then it actually faded to black in the movie itself lol, so it was perfect for my boot :)

Am not very experienced wit script writing, I did Oracle a couple years ago but never capitalized on it, but now I have began refreshing my memory with script writing. I don't want crash my device pretending to know scripts. But when you say free up rootfs you mean uninstalling some apps that I've downloaded from the app manager? Is another way to by this minor prob without going through scripts? If there is I would much appreciate.

@IssacDFP, that morpheus clip with Neo must be great as a boot video....(I can just see it right now). I wouldn't mind getting that video if you don't mind, but if you do its all good I understand. I was wondering what program do you use to cut and edit videos?

Hmm sure, I can try to upload it online somewhere. It's gonna have to wait until tonight though, so I can get access to my PC running WinSCP. And about the program, I was soo lazy that day, lol, I didn't bother cut/editing the video, I just used a program that records part of your monitor. So I just played the movie and when that part came up, I just started recording it, lol. There is a little problem, the volume is a little low, but I will try to fix it tonight. I'll keep you posted :) Sorry for the delay

uninstalling some apps helps, but only ones that use rootfs space and that tends to be ones u get from devel. a short term and frankly PITA way to deal with it is to disable all the other repos from app manager, update devel only, get ur apps, then re-enable the repos. but long term ur gonna heve to unonstall or free rootfs with scripts.
