fonts corrupted?
 
hello, my n900 is fine but some of the characters in the main menu and more... menu have bits missing, eg o had a pixel missing but O didnt.

any ideas?

Screenshots? You have already tried to reboot?

This happened to me once ages ago. The "F" symbols were buggered. A reboot fixed it, and I've never seen it again.
