What annoying mistakes keep happening on your n900
 

I am probably alone here but there are 3 things that happen by mistake on my n900 that get annoying after they happen more than 3 times.

1) when I put the device in my pocket the camera lenses sometimes catches and it turns on.

2) the unique combination scream press happens in my pocket that removed icons and widgets from my home screen, - yes I put the n900 in my pocket the screen comes on for whatever reason - maybe I forget to turn it off- and something touches a blank space followed by something touching the little gear icon (yip it happens, is just a matter of time) followed by the random and removal of desktop icons and widgets.

3) I often miss press the hang-up button when hanging up a call because the phone orientation rotates.

4) I launch an app - say gPodder it take a while to launch so do something instead of wafting - like I grab my keys or put on a jacket, only to accidentally press the application close button in the corner when I pick it up.

My question to you is are there any annoying little things that happen repeatedly (being more than 3 times) with you n900?

that happened to me... then i started wiping the chocolate off my face after a night in :p

Its annoying to select a long list of photos to send via bluetooth, and the target device has a timed out visibility, and I have to start over, and reselect all the mages again.

I also hate not being able to use the device without headphones if using the FM Radio, since the plugged in headphone/antenna also defaults to the headset profile.

1 Thing i do quite a lot, when in the browser or any app for that matter, when the backlight turns off after 30 seconds or whatever, i tap the screen to turn it back on but it registers that tap on the screen, ie it can click a link in the browser, wish it would turn the backlight on with the first tap

number 2 happened to me. touching on the desktop should not trigger config, the coming down gear should.

Ahhh, the phone orientation problem. The number of times my wife rings, I pick the phone up, go to press answer, and the phone screen decides to go portrait so I end up pressing cancel instead. She's really starting to get paranoid about that...

Maybe Nokia should remove Portrait mode completely from PR1.3.....

(runs, ducks and hides....) :p

I always accidentally click a link! Obviously not the N900's fault, but still an annoying mistake :p

Also, I forget to lock the phone when I put it in my pocket, allowing the phone to do some crazy things! I've never liked auto-lock since my N82, always prefer to lock it myself. I should really try auto-lock, as there was a period where I would ring the same person all the time while my N82 was in my pocket! :D

That happens to me too. Sometimes I accidentally trigger the proximity shortcut in shortcutd (I use it for switching windows). I sometimes accidentally put the device in portrait mode in apps that support portrait mode (I wound up turning most of the portrait mode support off since I rarely use the N900 in portrait mode).

Sometimes I can accidentally open the slider when its in my pocket.
