Cannot uninstall System Event Scheduler (SES)? Help?

Recently, after having read this post on nokia-n900.com, I installed System Event Scheduler, or SES, in short.

I configured some profiles in SES so my n900 goes to silent mode late at night, and goes to regular mode in the morning.

Ever since SES was installed though, I noticed some serious battery drainage. So I just thought I'd uninstall it.

Now... The program has been removed from the installed applications list allright, but the n900 still goes to silent mode late at night, and goes to regular mode in the morning, and, more importantly... My battery is still being drained like crazy.

So I've ininstalled the app, but it's still there?

Anyone any suggestions on how to remove it completely?
Can I just delete the specific SES folder in the filesystem? Where would I have to look for that folder?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I hve esactly the same problem but had forgotten the name of the app! Was just getting round to posting a thread when I saw yours... going to try reinstalling the app, delateing it's setting from within and then uninstalling... I expect some of the prog has got left behind and there will be a command line way of cleaning it up but not sure what that would be not having huge linux knowledge...

edit: Ok.. I just reinstalled ses and when I started it the silent profile change I configured was still there. I've now deleted the profile, am going to unistall the app again and hopefully my phone will stop going to silent at 1.26am! Will let you know whether this worked in the morning...

I think un-installation is not removing the alarms from system alarm queue - /var/cache/alarmd/alarm_queue.ini that's why the profile is still switching at configured time.

Update: read in another thread that it is not recommended to edit this file directly so don't modify it

I solve this problem already.
but didnt know if someone has same problem with me
I install SES but its not app for me I decide to delete but
after I install I set up few things and it keep going on the setting even I uninstall them so I install SES again and I went to setting it still there so I just delete from the settings that I made and then I uninstall SES so I don have any problem anymore... so try install again and you will see the setting that you made before just delete the settings or remove and then uninstall SES it should be work

How bad was the "drainage"? As I am interested in this app.

Re: Cannot uninstall System Event Scheduler (SES)? Help?

I started this thread, but it turns out the System Event Scheduler does NOT seem to be responsible for the battery drainage on my N900.

The drainage had to do with something else that had changed on my N900 on the same day the System Event Scheduler was installed.

It is still strange though the settings created by the System Event Scheduler are not removed from the system after uninstalling the application, but that's something else...

I have the same problem, but I've tried several times reinstalling and unistalling the application and cannot find the icon to run it and delete the saved profiles.

It is possible to run it from the X-Terminal?

What is wrong?

Just remove /var/cache/alarmd/alarm_queue.ini and /var/cache/alarmd/alarm_queue.ini.back files and restart the phone, as it is said in this post:
