how do you use the nokia map loader on n900?

i tried to follow these steps posted on the nokia site but all i get is "waiting for phone"...

Download and install Map Loader to your compatible computer. To use Map Loader you need Nokia PC Suite installed.

Open and close Ovi Maps on your mobile, if you have not used Maps before.

Connect your device to your computer via USB or Bluetooth in PC Suite mode* and open Map Loader.

*For your Nokia N900 use Mass storage mode.

can anyone help me how you guys did it?

As far as I know it's working only on Windows XP.
I've used the following workaround to upload the maps: http://www.maemopeople.org/index.php...ut_a_network_c

I couldn't make it run on Windows 7, didn't try very hard though. Using the workaround i've mentioned it's pretty easy.
