First of all Hello to everybody on the forum , secondly i have tried to install GPX Viewer and i get the following message , some application packages are required !! can anyone help me on this.

I use GPX view, it works fine for geocaching. allthough a GPS (garmin) plus a paper print is still the best! The GPS in the Nokia can' t compete with a higher Garmin chip. Installing GPXview should be possible though after the expected update 1.2 of the firmware. I could not load the newest version as well. We will have to wait!

Ok thanks for your help i will keep an eye out for the update.

The name gpxviewer is a bit misleading, because it isn't for viewing (different) gpx files.
It's mainly for geocaching.

To handle gpx files you should look for gpsbabel if it matches what you want to do with the gpx files.

On the other hand gpxview already works fine with the actual firmware on the N900 (should even run on the N8x0) .

You don't have to wait for the firmware update 1.2.
It's already working - I use it all the time.
