Best camera settings?

Hi

I was wondering if, like me, others have had issues getting the camera settings just right for all occassions.

I am off to vegas soon so will be going in and out of casinos and dont facny having to keep messing with the settings.

if so, what settings have you got?

Thanks

Scott

Re: Best camera settings?

settings depend 100% of light conditions, object, ....

so just use default settings and wish for the best.

Just ensure to increase the jpeg quality - settable via a config file.
Has been discussed here: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...t=jpeg+quality
Files are getting bigger - but the quality is getting better.
Have fun in Vegas!

Re: Best camera settings?

i guess the question is do you understand the holy trinity of iso/aperture/shutter?

i wrote a basic guide to photography here
http://entwisi.110mb.com/photo-wiki/...+Newbies+Guide

its for slrs generally but the principles remain. on the N900 only we cant control aperture so you are restricted to iso and shutter. you do get the addition of 'exposure' which allows a certain amount of over and under exposure.

an example is at the caravan site where we have a holiday home they do childrens shows. they are dark rooms with characters on a stage that varies from dark to well lit. i have found on my phone that setting iso to 400 and upping exposure does help to avoid shake and produces acceptable piccys.

you do need to understand a bit about what the settings do and tweak in situ though
