N900 + iPhone = i900
 

Wouldn't you just love the N900 Hardware with the new iPhone OS4?

I guess if the next iPhone had a querz keyboard I would switch.

Sure and have apple control what you can install.....

iPhone has caught up finally with the other smartphone OS's but Apples tight fisted grip on what I can and can't install on the device means I won't be buying one.

Off course you are right, its qwertz and not querz :-) Thanks. But I guess by your third line you have figuered it out.

I have never owned a iPhone and have played around with it only for about 15 minutes in all and I love my N900.

But I think Apples UI is in some ways just better or let me put it in this way.

I don't feel like Nokia is listening to the community (look at all the great ideas in Brainstorm) as much as Apple.

If only Nokia would consider the N900 to be mainstream and focus on it instead of playing it like a test ballon - it would be the best phone ever.

Things I would miss on the iPhone with new 4.0 software and old 3G Hardware

- FM Transmitter
- QWERTZ Keyboard
- Skype integration
- Ovi Maps (it it ever comes to be true turn by trun navi)
- Flash with Cam and Flashlight App
- True Flash in Browser

What I would need to make the N900 perfect for the next 2 years

- Turn by turn (for free LOL)
- Better Media Player (I am to dumb to figure out how to make different playlist easy)
- Office incl. Changing (I would pay for it 3rd party app)
- Snap to grid on desktops
- The following Brainstroms

I was only joking... But if I had to choose between only the two options, iPhone+Maemo or N900+OS4, i'd pick the first option in a heartbeat.
