Select ringtone from audio file fails - Device storage full.
I wished to set my own ring tone on my N900.
I can set one via: Settings - Profiles - General - Ringing tone and selecting from the list. However, this only gives me the Nokia provided ringing tones. I have failed to set any sound direct from sound file, even when my phone was new with few new applications installed. Settings - Profiles - General - Ringing tone - More Navigate to any sound clip (even the one already selected as ringing tone) Select it I get a yellow box message: Profile Device storage full. Remove data to free memory. A reboot does not help. I've seen other posts mentioning problems with the same yellow box, but not in relation to the ringtone, and I don't get the yellow box for anything else. Thanks! Adrian |
Re: Select ringtone from audio file fails - Device storage full.
Interesting. I believe when you choose a new ringtone, it gets converted into wav format and saved into a particular folder, so it sounds like that process isn't working for you. I can't see a bug about this on http://bugs.maemo.org/, so feel free to file a bug there.
