Interview with Nokia's Ari Jaasi.
This link is probably shared elsewhere, but I'll post it here anyway.
http://www.linux.com/news/featured-b...-meego-revs-up Sounds like Meego has a lot of momentum and a large number of partners buying into it. I wonder what the Q2 Meego devices are going to be and how they will sell them when Meego isn't finished ? |
Re: Interview with Nokia's Ari Jaasi.
can't wait till the fisrt meego devices start shipping.
hopefully it's true that they'll ship in q2. thats not to far off |
Re: Interview with Nokia's Ari Jaasi.
Well, I doubt products will be released before the OS is "finished"; anyway, this is an open source OS - it will never be "finished" in the traditional sense (and that is a good thing ) ;)

Re: Interview with Nokia's Ari Jaasi.
So according to the Meego Timeline the first project release will be in July and a second in January 2011.
This is good to see, progress being made with a plan! And!!!! a further release every 6 months? Well... at least we'll never have to play the guessing game anymore :p |

btw i'm understanding this correctly, will nokia allow non nokia phones to d/l apps from the ovi store. if so it'll be a smart way to get more apps, and users to use to app store. |
