Video over upnp problem
 

Hi there folks,

I just set up upnp media streaming from my media centre computer (Ubuntu 9.10) to my n900. So now I can listen to my full music collection, audiobooks, etc. anywhere in the house. Awesome!

Unfortunately when I try to view video content, the n900 just shows a blank screen. The audio is coming through perfectly. Any suggestions to fix this?

i have the same problem. apparently there is allready a bugreport for this problem. i work with a popcorn hour and it plays sound but no video

i've found it to be codec dependant. some things work.

If you are anxious, you can use Knots until the problem is fixed.

I have the same problem, and despite having all gstreamer plugins installed, still no video (only sound). This happens mostly with divx avi files. Anybody has a working solution without having to use knots2? I have an etrayz fileserver serving up media and didn't want to hack it too much :) thanks in advance

it was broke with pr 1.1... apparently fixed in pr 1.2

see bug report 8000 and its duplicates for more info but basicly not too much you can do to fix the problem until the next firmware update. I havent looked into knots2 though, might have to check it out today some time
