failed to update kernel-flasher-maemo 2.6.28-maemo23
 
i got kernel-flasher-maemo 2.6.28-maemo22 installed in my N900.

i try to update and got an error message said:

conflict with application packages:
kernel-modules-maemo
kernel-maemo
kernel-modules-maemo
kernel-maemo

anybody know how to fix it? thanks.

how did you install it in the first place?

try to remove the package, it seems that it causes problems.

strange... If you would have installed via xterm, the conflicts wouldn't be a surprise but the app manager should handle things safer.

I think he mentioned it might have problems installing from app manager so use e-term instead.

in x-term type "sudo apt-get -f install" it solved mine for dependencies problems and BTW, you have to manually do "sudo apt-get install kernel-power-settings"

*You must have rootsh installed
*If the above cmd fails then do "sudo gainroot" and type the above cmds without "sudo" and for this you again needs rootsh installed.
