The first idea coming to my mind is setting a vpn and using wizard mounter with its IPs.

For a start, unless there's a totally braindead systems administrator involved, all Windows networking traffic will be blocked by the firewall. I'm pretty sure it also uses broadcasts and non-routable protocols as well, which would prevent it from working outside the local network.

Re: wizard mounter work only on lan?

I'm able to use wizard mounter with a host outside of my LAN but I had to tune my router (FritzBox 7170). I set the value for ipnetbiosfilter = no;

But the better way is to use an OpenVPN connection to the destination host because in this way the traffic itself also is encrypted.

I'm not sure, but I'd give you less than an hour before someone else is controlling your PC.

i'm not found any ipnetbiosfilter Field in my TL-WR941N router

in "wizard mounter" did you add any port to the host name?
Someone told me to open the ports 139 , 445 to the local ip so i opened and even enable dmz for the local ip

Which line is correct?

212.212.12.212 = time connection out
212.212.12.212:139 = app closed
212.212.12.212:445 = app closed

I tried them all without success

Re: wizard mounter work only on lan?

An alternative solution, if i'm understanding the problem correctly, could be to use SSHFS.

It allows you to connect to an ssh server and mount a remote directory so that it looks just like its on your n900. Its how I access my mp3s anywhere i go. As an added benefit, since all the communication is over an SSH connection, all your data traffic is encrypted :)

Re: wizard mounter work only on lan?

What you offer looks like vpn .....

wizard mounter work great in my lan and jukey sad its work on internet for him too...

I prefer to understand how to succeed like jukey

If I can not, Can you explain the steps to connect to the sshfs or vpn (i use win2003 not linux)

what i need to fill in this lines?
