Remote control for WMP?
 

Can't find a similar thread in search, is there any way to directly control music playing on a pc with WMP from my N900? Obviously I can use VNC (RDP doesn't support sound), but i'd prefer an app that controls it directly.

i tried bluemaemoz but didnt get the wmp to work with the remote. the mouse and keyboard works... so anyone can make it work!

I hate to bump an old thread, but this is precisly what I am after! I can see there are similar apps out there for other phone OS's;

I am specifically after functionality to control / play the music on WMP remotely (not stream to my phone).

It doesn't answer your question but an alternative is to use VLC on your desktop and VLC Remote on your N900.

I find it very handy when it's dinner time and the kids won't budge from the TV: "Oh look, it's just paused itself again - isn't that odd? Oh well, dinner time..."
