Internet won't auto re-connect after losing signal
So i am trying to see if this is an issue, a bug, or just normal.
Here's a common situation: I am somewhere with decent reception on my internet signal, could be 2.5G, 3.0G, or 3.5G, doesn't matter. Everything works fine. I enter a location where i have no signal at all, thus dropping the connection. I then exit that location and go back to where i had a decent reception prior to entering the location and my assumption is that the N900 should recognize this and simply reconnect to the available connections i have setup in my phone. However it does not, it simply sits there un-connected. I have to manually go into connections and choose my provider internet connection. Is this normal? Is this a known bug? Please note that i do have FMMS installed and have a second T-Mobile (US) APN installed using FAPN to use FMMS. However i don't see how that could be an issue because the phone should still choose one of them. Any help is appreciated as this is really annoying. Thanks |
Re: Internet won't auto re-connect after losing signal
Did you check that you have set it to automatically reconnect?
settings->internet->connect automatically set it to any connection. If you already have that then I don't know what the problem is. |

Re: Internet won't auto re-connect after losing signal
For me it works with some access point but not for some.
E.g., it auto connect to my home access point but when I get to work it does not auto connect to the access point at work. Both are WLAN access point except that I'm using WPA share key at home but at work it is using enterprise WPA with multiple access points roaming around the office. |
Re: Internet won't auto re-connect after losing signal
surpriseingly my WLAN connection seems to be ok but the cellular network is the issue. its like the phone isnt searching tring to find one.
