OpenJDK on N900
 
So I am following this wiki page for installing OpenJDK on the N900 and I am getting hung up at this line:

scp OpenJDK-camswl.tar.gz root@10.0.23.42:/opt
When I run it it just hangs there for a few minutes before telling me the connection times out... Any suggestions?

It means copy the tarball to the N900 to the directory /opt

You can of course copy it via mass storage and then in the X-terminal

sudo gainroot
mv /home/uservMyDocs/OpenJDK-camswl.tar.gz /opt

I think that's just another way to gain root access on the phone.

The address in the scp command can and probably will be different for you.
