1150 MHz max?

Why it does not want to go higher? I am using Titans kernel-power, IDEAL config, just edited max frequency. I know I did everything OK, becouse I can control it for lower clocks, but if I use 1200MHZ it is 1150, if I use 1300 MHZ it is 1150...If I use 1000 it is 1000.

I did like this:

What is this limitation? I would like at least 1200 MHz :D not 1150...

Thank you for help!

PS: even if I try this method it gives me 1150 MHz:
sudo gainroot
echo 1200000 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq

Probably the OS has set a limit on the max freq... You will probably need to create a custom kernel? But may I ask why you would want at least 1200MHz.. I mean.. I OCed my N900 too 800 and omg it's freakin fast... but 1200? it's a bit too much..

Someone help the guy out to get higher than 1150 mHz.

We still don't have any fried processors; it would be interesting to see the hardware limitations. I'd like to see how well the processor can handle the amount of heat it'll produce at those frequencies and what implications it has on its longevity.

1150mhz is the limit titan has put on his kernals, i would imagine because he doesn't want to be responsible for people overclocking to higher levels than this and frying their n900's, now i can tell you for sure that even if you could get it up to 1200 there would be no noticable differance from 1150, but if u realy want to get it up to 1200 and further you could always compile your own kernal (i mean how hard can it be its only changing a few numbers right):D.
also just out of interest how long have you been running at 1150, are you sure its completely stable at that level, ive only pushed mine up that far a couple of times but i definately wouldn't feel comfortable keeping it at such a high level and cant see why i would ever need to push it any higher than that.
but good luck to you if you do get it higher.

Think the warranty may be voided though.

The 1700 thing is a joke, well known.

I guess there's a kind of Evil Knevil joy in going as fast as you can, but don't blame us when you're lying at the bottom of the Grand Canyon with a totalled device.

Umm. 1.7ghz was a phtoshop job and is a prank/joke. NOT REAL.
It's also mentioned in the overclocking wiki.

I have tried 1.2ghz using old titan's kernel. It locked up my N900.
However, 1.1ghz was stable. So I can only assume 1.2ghz worked.

I haven't tried 1.2ghz with latest maemo25 kernel yet.
