Can't download Navicore/wayfinder mapdata
 

Hi all!

I had reinstalled and reflashed my n810, and now I`m unable to download the maps from both the wayfinder program in tablet, as from Navicore website.

Anyone else has same problem? And, if not, anyone can share the map data files? For me there`s not difference from where I`ll get them :-)

I don't know how to help you get the maps but I can suggest that you install MaemoMapper which is free as are the OpenStreet maps. http://fragostech.com/MaemoMapper/ will help you get started.

I have not been able to download maps via the Wayfinder program. When I asked their customer service about this, they told me to download from their website. I can't find the URL they gave me, but this looks promising:

This is my problem. I have this URL, but I can't download anything from there, and don't know why. Simply doesn't work.

Still need help, please :-)

PS: and fragos, I like Maemo Mapper, but it is an online application, and I am not connected to the internet all the time.

@uilian: maemo-mapper is not just an online app.

You can download maps to it to work offline.

Ok, you're right! But when we talk about keep map tiles, we must be concerned about storage too. With the Wayfinder maps I don't have that problem.

Well, and to be absolutelly clear, I'm not going in to defense of this or that software here, I just need some help with the download of the Navicore/Wayfinder maps :-)

I already get in contact with Navicore support to try to figure out why its impossible to download the mapdata files available in their site.

Waiting now, since appear like I'm the only one with this problem.

Let's use this thread for map sharing:

I have the following maps: Central-Eastern-Europe, Russia, Germany-Alps, Scandinavia and UK-Ireland.

I will share the maps with anyone that requests them, and ask others to do the same with the other maps. I especially want the Italy map right now.

I've been looking for USA East for about a week or so.

These should be free for download and usable without a subscription, correct?
