How do i flash sdhc kernel with kernel_flasher.tgz?

Can someone please give me step by step instructions how to do this. I ordered 2 8gig sdhc cards from newegg and cannot figure out how to flash the sdhc_kernel.bin with the kernel_flasher.tgz. Any help would be very appreciated.
Thanks

you need flasher-3.0

I downloaded a flasher from Fanoush's website (http://fanoush.wz.cz/maemo/#kernelflasher) that allows you to flash the n800 without a PC. I just can't seem to figure out how to use it.

Well, this is command line stuff which needs root privileges so you need osso-xterm and becomeroot or ssh. Download both kernel and flasher to the device (I.e. icon with Nokia XXX name, not the card or Documents), then in shell:

Code:

$ cd
$ cd MyDocs
~/MyDocs $ tar zxvf kernel_flasher.tgz

then run flasher with kernel file as parameter
Code:

~/MyDocs $ ./kernel_flasher/kernel_flash sdhc-kernel.bin

Fanoush,

That worked great, thanks a lot! Now I just need to wait for the 8gig cards to arrive to test them out. Thanks again.

Re: How do i flash sdhc kernel with kernel_flasher.tgz?

Since the new OS did not seem to bring SDHC support I tried to flash my older kernel with this kernel patch. However, by following these instructions it still says permission denied... I have Becomeroot installed and I tried this both in user mode and in root mode. Both are no go... :(
Any ideas?

EDIT: Never mind... I got it... I made a shortcut that appeared not to work... :o
