Turning of Sound Playing in Profiles
I have looked every to try and figure out a way to not play any sound file during a notification event (say when a new email is received). Right now, all you can do is to turn the sound very low but it still plays whatever sound file you have chosen. There is no way in the profile setup screen to choose no sound file.
Why I want this capability: 1) When listening to an audio book on Pannucci and a new email comes in it creates a gap in the audio as the notification audio is played, annoying. 2) I am using Jawbone Icon which allows me to have two bluetooth sources active and when I am on my other phone and the N900 tries to send a blue tooth signal like when it is playing a notification file it cuts into my other conversation and some weird things happen with bluetooth. 3) When I have my blue tooth headset onand a new email comes in, there is an annoying crackle associated with played audio file at zero volume (not really a big deal). So my questions are: 1) Where are the profile files stored so I can see if I can edit them directly so that there is no file the notification manager (if there is such a thing) tries to open. or 2) Is there some way to put a file path/name in the profile settings that is essentially a null file that won't open and have teh same result. Thanks in advance for any help, Fred |
