Install of Vim fails "no libxt6" can't find it N800
 

Trying to install vim but get error that says libxt6 is needed. I have search the forum for libxt6 but no info on finding and installing it. :confused:

What repository are you installing from? I believe the library you are asking about is an X11 lib, and vim just needs a term. I'm running vim just fine,and I don't have that file. Let me find out what repository I'm using and get back to you...

search for Nokia RedPill mode -
Once in RedPill mode the librarys will be in app installer.
Get only what you know you need then turn RedPill mode off.

Thanks for that DryLand404. However, VIM is still a no-go because of that pesky libxt6. Does anybody want to share how they got Vim working on an n800?

Eureka! I have found a way around this dependency. Just install Minimo (which installs the eluusive libxt6) and you will be golden.
