How to remove old apps from /home/opt ?
I installed a lot of apps from extras-devel and manually installed some .debs. I was messing around trying to manually install an app and my phone got messed up so i re-flashed rootfs.
The problem that i have is almost every app i previously installed is still on my phone in /home/opt. The OS does not recognise that any of these apps/packages are installed. When i try to use GPE File Manager to CuteExplorer to delete these old apps, i get messages telling me that i dont have the permissions/rights to delete these files/folders. How can i delete the folders/files of previously installed apps in /home/opt? |
Re: How to remove old apps from /home/opt ?
Fixed in PR1.2.
For now, install rootsh, type root, then rm -rf /opt/* |

I don't see how PR1.2 will fix the OPs problem. If you reflash the rootfs there will always be things left on /home/opt (on the internal MMC), won't there, no matter what version of Maemo you are running?
