Getting buyer's remorse.. Convince me otherwise please
I got my N900 back in January. I'm liking it but whenever I look at the Milestone/Droid I get the impression that it's grass is greener..
IE: It gets updated frequently. It got Android 2.1 without much hassle while we're waiting for pr 1.2 for ages just to get fixes that should have been shipped with the device itself. The emulation scene looks more advanced. They got all of their stuff running at 100% speed and getting PSX emulation in the near future (which I heard runs very well in the closed testing) Remember: the Droid has the same hardware as the N900. Build quality and looks: Superb. It feels so sturdy.. Capacitive screen. Self explanatory. It's also a bit bigger at 3.8" and it's presumably OLED? All of that while still being thinner and lighter than the N900. Flash 10.1 support coming really soon too. It pains me to type all of this. Especially when I paid a lot for this device.. What do you think? Am I wrong? I'd be glad if someone convinced me otherwise heh.. ________ TOYOTA SCEPTER SPECIFICATIONS |

Look around you'll see quite a lot of people disappointed with the droid keyboard.
Also, there is a zillion comparisons between Android and Maemo around here that will ultimately be determined by what you want in your phone. |

I'd say sit back and enjoy this ride we call "Openess" at times and its very few maybe once a month I get mad at my phone than I remember I can do whatever I want to it and than I usually snap back into and be glad I made the move to the all mighty nokia n900

Re: Getting buyer's remorse.. Convince me otherwise please
Good questions. Here are my thoughts:
N900 keyboard is better than that of the Milestone N900 has front facing camera and irda N900 makes it extremely easy to install .deb files I think the hardware on the N900 is superior to the Milestone. I would imagine that it will be possible to easily dual-boot Maemo(MeeGo) and Android in the future. That way you get the best of both worlds. |

Wait for 1.2 and if it (and presumably Nokia store after it) doesn't please you change.
