Search Function leaves out key phrases (ex. Qt, 5, 4, etc.)

I've recently noticed that the Search function eliminates some key phrases.

Searching Qt Maemo would yield only results containing Maemo, because

"The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search: qt"

Same thing goes for searching Maemo 4/5, the number would be left out.

It's quite a blocker, imho.

Any ideas?

theres many many "too common" words, but the power search option does a google custom search, much better! :)

Power search supports quotation marks just like Google does, so if you are looking for something like "Maemo 5" just putting quotation marks around the phrase and then searching works perfectly.

The forum's built-in search function is only good for 1 thing:
Using Advanced search to search in thread titles only, if you are looking for a thread.

For everything else, use Power search, which is a customized google search. Or, you could use google.com and type in the phrase site:talk.maemo.org to only search in this forum.

Hope this helps.

Additionally, Advanced Search occasionally comes in handy when you are looking for a specific post by a specific person. The ability to limit a search to posts by a given forum user can sometimes be just enough to pull vBulletin's sad little keyword search ahead of the Google-based Power Search.

We're well into rare, corner case territory now though.
