installing apps
 

hello everyone ,i've just bought the n900 and it's amazing ,i only want to install apps from the website but when i download i don't know how to put it on the mobile even i have nokia pcsuite and i've tried to make install apps from the pcsuite and it didn't appear.
please advice iam new in maemo stuff :)
NB: iam operating from windows vista

wouldnt it be easier if you use the app manager on the device just enable the repos

if you dont want to install via app manager, go to maemo.org on your phone, go to download section, chose an app and click install. That will download the .deb file which can be opened by app manager and installed.

But it is much easier just to go to app manager!
