images - snowman figure topright corner
 

Does anyone know what the little snowman figure is at the top right hand corner of some of my images (cant screenshot as no where to uplaod image for URL link)

i thought it may be a tag, geotag or profile pic but the details show nothing and there is no pattern, that i can see, between the photos.

Anyone have any ideas/can point me to a wiki article/burn me for not adequately searching :D

You don't mean the USB sign that appears at times when you have a usb cable attached?

SNOWMAN icon shows you that picture have metadata. You can enable/disable it in PHOTOS - SETTINGS - Display metadata indicators.

I've noticed this. I think it indicates if a picture has 'tags' or not.


No snowman= No tags
Snowman = tagged.

yes this seems to be the correct if anyone is wondering what the hell we are talking about hopefuuly the screenshot below will work (slightly edited some pics :D)

How about the "star" icon"? Some of the thumbnails include that icon as well.

The star icon is the "Favorites" tag.
As for the "snowman" I think that shows a non listed tag, i.e one that wasn't picked from the default tag list.

So I'm guessing that the "favorites" tag was probably carried over all the way from Google Plus on my laptop (which is where I picked those pictures)? Namely, I don't have any "favorites" in N900. :)
