Close camera app after photo?
 

Hi,

I'm working on a OCR system.
Id like my application to behave like this:
- cancel the auto start camera application on lens open
- on button click launch the camera
- after taking the picture close the camera app, and return the new picture name
- get the picture by name, run it trough OCR, and output the result to a textbox
- delete the picture

Does anyone know how can this be done?
Disabling the camera auto start (only in my application, not in whole system). And closing the camera app after photo.

Where is the camera api anyway!?

Is it possible to use Easy project http://easy.garage.maemo.org/ ?
Its not for fremantle, I don't know if it will work

Nevermind.
I got it working by passing the gstreamer camera stream to Qt widget.

Does anyone know is it possible to save the image in .tiff format from gstreamer?
