Asteraids - an asteroids-like game that uses the gyroscope!
 

I've made an asteroids-like game where there are asteroids coming towards you, and to push them away you have to shoot them. To aim you have to rotate the phone, and the ship will always shoot upwards (either press any button or click on the screen to shoot). It's in the extras-devel, try it out with apt-get install asteraids!

There is still a lot to do of course, but it's more of a proof of concept thing.
Oh, and you need python-box2d to run it.

Well, nice.

But I can't help but think of AIDS when I read that name... aster-aids. :|

Also, are you sure you optified it? I didn't look at the package but I think I'm missing some space on root after installing this. And please add python-pybox2d to the dependencies if it's needed.

Optified? It's installed in /opt/asteraids/, should it be in ~ or what? I forgot to add python-pybox2d, will add it in future builds.

I'd rather think of aids if the other option is hemroids.

terrible, terrible name

and the dependency is python-pybox2d

nice work, just need to make your "ship" have a front (so you know which way ur facing)

this doesnt install python-pybox2d thru app manager....
