MicroB and Google help please!
For some weird reason, when I search in address bar on microb, the results come up in some weird localised version of google. the address is .com, but I seem to be getting spanish results!
this is becoming a bit annoying now, I find myself having to specially go to google.co.uk to search for things. Whilst this may not seem like I'm being put out much, I'm currently experiencing lots of knuckle dislocations due to medical conditionI have, and the fewer steps to find things the better! my isp is British, I'm using both wlan and O2's mobile net, the phone localisation is uk... what on earth is going on? for example searching maemo i get: http://www.google.com/m/search?clien...unibox&q=maemo and title is maemo - busqueda de google. sorry about lack of caps... knuckles. ow. oh and the laptop on same wlan has no problem it auto's to google uk. thanks! nicola |
Re: MicroB and Google help please!
why not try to open google.co.uk then make a book mark out of it its easier that way

Re: MicroB and Google help please!
I find the bookmarks are really awful.
Not at all intuitive. I've added some and can't even find them, because when I scroll down the bookmarks it seems to reset to the top a lot and I can't find the newer ones at the bottom. |
Re: MicroB and Google help please!
Still you could put it on the desktop if you use google alot its much more accessible over there

Re: MicroB and Google help please!
you traveled to spanish language country ?
clear microb cookies, cache |
Re: MicroB and Google help please!
You could edit the search string in MicroB's about:config to always use google.uk (keyword.URL)

Re: MicroB and Google help please!
Hi Nicola,
I think the first post in this thread will be a solution to your problem http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...ht=browser+mod If not, I don't know! Good luck with the knuckles, that made me cringe!! |
Re: MicroB and Google help please!
Down in the right part of the Google window, there's a link that'll take you to www.google.com/ncr (or something close to that), that'll make the cookie that's saved to be one without localization. After that, all search results should be in English.
