how much scrolling to see your remote desktop via ssh -x on n900?
my desktop (ubuntu 10.04) is running at 1440x900. the only app I forsee using on that via the n900 is the gns3 router simulator. I also have an xp instance via kvm/qemu that runs at 1024x768 I would want to get to...
I am just wondering how via ssh -x or vnc your pc desktop or ssx -x started application displays on the n900...in other words, how much scrolling has to take place due to the n900 being a 3.5 inch screen... thanks if anyone has some experience and (better) some screen shots of how their desktop displays.... |
Re: how much scrolling to see your remote desktop via ssh -x on n900?
it is simple. n900's screen: 800x480
desired resolution: 1024x768 so desired resolution fills less than 2*2 = 4 N900 screens. |

I guess I better learn dynagen as opposed to gns3 if I do get the n900...I guess I was kind of hoping (wondering) if the ssh -x or vnc actually resized your screen (like magically or something) to your local resolution, I guess not.
thats a lot of guessing. |

I don't know about scaling. it could be possible. but then you would loose less than 3/4 of total pixels.
