Cant delete movies from play list...

ok i use the standard n900 player to play my movies and so on.

The past week when i delete a movie it deletes. but when i close the player and reopen it. it shows up agen but you cannot play the file as it says "unable to find media file" cos i have deleted it.

but why will it not delete in the list (video - Categories)

i have tryed renaming(then i open the player it shows the old file name and new file name) the files, i have tryed delete files from PC and from the phone. but nothing seems to make a diffrence.

can anyone help.

try to delete them from the terminal:

cd Directory_in_which_are_the_files

rm film1.avi for example

use ls to list the files in the respective directory

Note that the terminal is case-sensitive.

Looks like the OP can remove the files but not their entry in the playlist.

Yes, I think, the entries are still in Playlist.

OP, if you are using Mediabox.
-- log in to xterminal
-- cd /home/user/.mediabox/playlists
Here you will see all your playlists. Remove the playlist which you want to remove. Or if you have deleted only few songs from the, you can delete the song entry from that playlist.
Remove these two lines for each of your file.
#EXTINF:-1,YOUR SONG
file:///home/user/MyDocs/.sounds/YOUR SONG.mp3

Not clear from your posts what you did ?

So is your playlist issue resolved ? Did you go to that folder and removed the playlist ?
