N900 Voicemail notification Orange UK problem
I have a generic N900 with an Orange UK SIM. When I get a voicemail notification on the dashboard, I tap it and it takes me to the call log. However when I try to call the voicemail item in the call log the phone number corrupts to '_@' and I can't call anything .
Anybody ever experienced this and fixed it to call their call forwarding number? Thanks |

I believe you will get the orange voicemail number by dialling 123. Try it - and if it works, create a contact called 'voicemail' with that number. There's a full mobile-style number, alternatively. I'm not sure whether it's generic or specific to your phone number - if the former, I can let you have it. :)

Hi,
Yes I know 123 or +447973100123 is the OUK voicemail number, however the call log item is still corrupting to '_@' when I try to call it even after I have created a contact called 'Voicemail' It is irritating not to be able to call your voicemail from the notification. Jon |
Re: N900 Voicemail notification Orange UK problem
That's weird, cos mine doesn't. It shows as 'voicemail' and shows a little 'tape' icon rather than the usual missed/incoming/outgoing icon until I've called it. In fact, the tape icon sits as its 'avatar' in contacts - though it still has an 'empty pawn' icon too.
I'd suggest clearing recent data, but that might clear data you don't want to lose. |

Not sure if this is relevant or helpful to you but I've just fond something in my handset. Open contacts and tap the title bar for menus, click settings and you have an option for Voicemail Number. If you fill this in (mine is 901 for O2) then a long press on 1 in phone dialing pad calls the voicemail as in other Nokias.
