Can't hear people calling
 

I was wondering if anyone has had a problem where they can't hear the person on the other side. The audio is very very low and then it is normal sounding and goes back and forth like that.

I can't tell if it's the reception or the speaker. It seems to only do this for the handset. If I set it to loudspeaker I can hear the conversation very clearly.

Anyone ever have this issue?

It is hardware issue. I had the same and got it fixed just to get broken again. Finally I got phone replaced and sound is fine now.

I think it has something to do with speaker cable (thin film).

When they fixed it the first time it took only few hours. Replacement fix took 2 weeks.

There are some other threads about this here, but are difficult to locate because of various words used to describe the problem.

Ahh ok thanks trotor. I was trying to find those threads but yeah I couldn't find anything like it.

Do you know any of the links? I'll try to do more searches with related words

Did you have to send your phone in?
