battery life and another Q..
 

hello all ... am interested in buying the n900 ! but the only thing holding me back is that i heard that the battery life is really bad ! mostly i'll use it for calling and texting maybe a little wi-fi or gaming !!

what shall i expect ?

and ive read also that there's only 2 profiles available ! really ? a high-end gadget and ot has such a primitive feauture :( is there a coming update to fix this and improve the battery life ?

The battery life is about part for any smart phone. A little lower on the N900 due to a slightly more intensive browser.

It's fine for calling/texting, gaming might be a little less likely (not many games.)

As for the profiles, there is a profile editor available that allows for more than the two base profiles.

I can't compare battery life to other smartphones, but I would recommend you get a spare battery. It's small (fits in my wallet) and inexpensive. I rarely have to use it, but it lets me get as much use as I want without worrying.
Expect to charge the phone most nights.

thanks ! i'll wait and see the next firmware if it improves A BIT !am afraid if i buy then nokia will release a newer phone that solves all these problems :s
