Open Arena

It works smoothly so why is it in the extras-devel?

Apps are in extras-devel until the developer (or maintainer) promotes it into extras-testing.

So it might be they don't feel it's ready. Or they forgot about the app, or they don't have the time to subject it to the testing process (checks for optification, existence of bug tracker, etc..)

I must say thats one thing i dislike about apps in devel or even testing sometimes. Its like everyone is scared to try those good apps out only to figure out that they are almost perfectly stable but they never go through the process =/. This holds us back as a whole but i can also understand the developers stand point but i feel like the most popular games/apps etc. should at least make it to testing so everyone can show off there stuff but o'well.

Yeah, there are quite a few things that need to be tweaked about the whole process.

Some of it's being addressed, like the creation of super-testers. Perhaps authors ofapplications in devel that are idle for long periods of time can be notified if they would like to test their app in its existent state.

+1 to the intent of this thread. there r quite a lot of users who avoid dev/test apps or not even aware of repos. If apps as gud as these don't get promoted, all v'd hav is a sm more ppl complaining abt lack of apps for this device.

Does anyone know the command to disable the accelerometer from taking control of movements? Tried searching, no source!
