and about msn and skype - if you don't use wifi so you need other way of connection to internet ( the data has to be exchanged somehower) so the phone would use 3G internet. |

Re: General Question about N900.
well Whats is GMTS internet?? i never heard of this internet thing...
is it like free internet ?? P.S so basically in the end i need a plan or prepaid sim card with internet pack if i dont dont have to pay extra? Thank you very much |
Re: General Question about N900.
the best way to find out is to call your operator. in my country it works like that, if you have 3G connection you can use internet= but you pay per MB and it's not that cheap. though u can ask for plan and than you pay per package + per every MB as you got out of limit

Re: General Question about N900.
GTMS? I think he means GPRS (2G) or UTMS (3G) or HSDPA (3.5G).
Either way you will need a sim with internet enabled preferably with unlimited usage. |
Re: General Question about N900.
You can never surf the web over the cellular network without your operator charging you.
I know only my country's operators' tariffs, but I just can't imagine anyone giving free data transfer to users in their network. The usual pattern: No dataplan = you surf with a lower speed than with a package, and you are probably being charged by transferred kilobyte. Usually expensive with even light use. Dataplan = a quota to transfer, usually with a higher speed and a fixed free every month, unless you go over that quota of course. |
