How can I change the FM transmitter freq. stepping?
 

Hi,

(Edit : this is about the transmitter)

My N900 was purchased in USA, afaik the FM freq. stepping there dictates odd freq. only.

I am not using it in the USA, and would like to add the odd freq. also.

Example :
Currently I can use 89.1/3/5/7...
I want to use 89.2/4/6 also...

I tried searching the forum, also found the file for the receiver, but not for transmitter. (Tried powersearch and normal search)

Anyone knows how to do this?

FMTX Faker should work for this. 0.3 shouldn't **** up your ability to back up just as long as the file /etc/event.d/fmtx-faker doesn't exist.

By backup you mean phone backup? contacts etc etc?

Yeah :)
I used to make it start too early and it was only thanks to lma it got sorted. Though I ended up making it not require to run on startup which saves some memory and doesn't mess anything up (at least here) :)

Ok! Installed, and now I can choose those frequencies! I'll test it at home for real.
