UPnP server on pc?
 

Can any one help me with what I need on my pc for UPnP?
Can I use Rhapsody thru UPnp?
I thought I saw that Nokia had a UPnP server software. I cant find it on the site.

What exactly are you trying to do? You can use Rhapsody to play local songs via upnp, but streams from Rhapsody use Rhapsody Control Protocol so you won't be able to play Rhapsody streams. The Nokia software you are looking for is called mediastreamer. Should be available via the N800's application installer by default.

TVersity seems to work ok for me, for music at least. It even has a trascoding setting for n770 for transcoding videos on the fly, alas my crappy wifi struggles with streaming video, so I've not had any luck with that myself.

OK.. so for my PC, just use WMP for local content? Is there are wizard to set it up on XP?

Not sure if this is what your looking for :If you have Nero installed on your home computer,
Nero Media Home can stream audio, video(converted by Media Converter for Nokia 770 ) and pictures to Media Streamer or Canola on the N800.

Or install TVersity on your home computer and Canola or Media streamer will work with it.

well thanks for that tip.
Windows Media Player also works with Canola and Media Streamer.
Within WMP, go to Library/Media sharing, set up the connection with your N800.

Got it working with WMP... very easy to set up. I was surprised.
